Welcome to NCTE@CSU

NCTE@ CSU is a professional student organization that welcomes students from all majors, undergraduate and graduate.  Meetings provide a forum for discussion and learning, and a place where students can be involved in the changing face of education. Meetings include social gatherings, timely speakers, and professional development seminars.

Our Mission:
a)
To create a community among future teachers of
    literacy.

b)
To develop professional attitudes, standards,
    and awareness of current issues
within the
    profession through meetings,
discussions, lectures,
    and publications
(e.g., electronic newsletters,
    journals, blogs,
and professional speakers).
c) To encourage inquiry and research in literacy
    teaching.

d) To enhance ties between pre-service students and
    the professional education
community.
e)
To engage in service projects supporting the
    above purposes.

NCTE@CSU welcomes all ideas for the future of our organization.
